David Beirman, Risk Crises and Recovery Management SIG co-coordinator, attended a briefing on 23 November 2018 by the Australian Foreign Minister, Senator Marise Payne as CAUTHE’s Representative on the Consular Consultative Group. At the briefing, two reports were released:

• Consular state of play 2017-18 which assesses safety and security for Australian travellers
• 2018 survey of Australian travel insurance behaviour the Insurance Council of Australia’s research on travel insurance behaviour focussing on Australian travelling overseas in South East Asia.
