JHTM to implement CRediT to improve transparency and integrity in authors

We are delighted to share with you that CAUTHE’s Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management will soon offer authors fairer and richer recognition using the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), which improves transparency & integrity around authorship.

CRediT first emerged in 2015 from a collaborative effort from funders, institutes and publishers, including Cell Press. Since then, almost 200 Elsevier journals in all disciplines have successfully implemented this new authorship standard, receiving a very positive reception from Editors and authors alike. Many PloS, Wiley, AGU and Oxford University Press journals now also offer CRediT.

We believe CRediT to be a very positive step towards improving clarity and transparency around author contributions.
