The CAUTHE Executive Committee invites expressions of interest for two Associate Editor positions for its official journal, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management (JHTM).

Established more than 30 years ago, JHTM has experienced sustained growth in recent years. Most notably, the journal has been formally recognised on the 2025 ABDC Journal Quality List with an A* rating. This significant milestone affirms JHTM’s position as a leading international outlet for high‑quality research in tourism, hospitality, and events. In response to a continuing increase in manuscript submissions, CAUTHE is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced colleagues. Ideally, incoming Associate Editors will complement the existing editorial team through their geographical location and/or disciplinary expertise.

The appointment will be for two years and the successful candidates should be able to start their duties as soon as possible. The Associate Editors will be supported by the Editor in Chief (Professor Marianna Sigala), the other Associate Editors of JHTM, an international Editorial Advisory Board and an Editorial Review Board comprising 50+ leading academics.

JHTM Associate Editor selection criteria:

1. Vision for the journal
2. Approach to achieve the JHTM vision and personal contributions to the JHTM strategy for
3. Publication record
4. Demonstrated experience as an (associate / guest editor) editor, scientific conference chair, and/or project manager or similar team leadership role
5. Institutional hosting and support for the Associate Editor role (e.g. support letter from head of school).
