Annual Elections

We would like to invite nominations for the Office-bearer positions for the CAUTHE Executive Committee for 2025. All positions on the Executive Committee will officially be declared vacant at the Chapter Directors’ meeting, at 10:00am on Thursday 13 February at Brisbane City Hall (immediately following the Annual General Meeting).

These Executive Committee positions present an excellent leadership opportunity in helping to shape the direction of our organisation. We encourage all interested individuals to consider nominating themselves or others for these vital roles. Serving on the Executive Committee provides an opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction, governance, and long-term success of CAUTHE.

Steps for Nominating

     1. Eligibility Check

• • Make sure the nominee is a current Associate or Student member of CAUTHE. This is a prerequisite for candidacy.

     2. Nomination by a Chapter Director

• • The nominee must be nominated (proposed) and seconded by a Chapter Director. If you don’t have a proposer, you can reach out to the CAUTHE Secretariat for assistance in finding one.

     3. Positions Available

• • You can nominate someone (or yourself) for one of the following office-bearer positions:
    • Chairperson
    • First Vice-Chairperson
    • Second Vice-Chairperson
    • Treasurer
    • Secretary

     4. Nomination Form Completion

• • Ensure the nomination form is fully completed. This includes providing all required details, including the information about the proposer and seconder.
  • Attach a brief biography of the nominee (no more than one paragraph). This biography should highlight the nominee’s relevant experience, achievements, and vision for the role.

     5. Submission Deadline

• • Nominations must be received by Thursday 5 February 2025.
  • The completed form and any supporting documents can be scanned and emailed to the CAUTHE Secretariat.

     6. Contact CAUTHE Secretariat

• • If you have any questions or need assistance with the nomination process, contact CAUTHE Secretariat well in advance of the deadline.

     7. Election Process

• • Remember, the election of office-bearers will occur at the Chapter Directors’ meeting at 10:00am on Thursday, 13 February 2025 at Brisbane City Hall, immediately following the Annual General Meeting.
