2018 Mid-year meeting, HDR Conference & Calibration of Standards workshop

The Mid-year meeting and associated activities will be held at The University of Queensland, Brisbane on 19-20 July.

Thursday 19 July
- 3:00-5:00pm CAUTHE Mid-year meeting — Room 14-216 Sir Llew Edwards Building (Map ref I6) Download Agenda and papers
- 6:30 for 7:00pm Social dinner — at the River Bar & Kitchen, Riparian Plaza, Promenade, Level 71 Eagle Street, Brisbane, relaxed and informal, waterfront location (each to their own) **NOTE change of venue from previously advertised
Friday 20 July
- 9:00-5:00pm
- CAUTHE-SMAANZ Mid-year HDR Conference — General Purpose North 3 (39A-208) (Map ref I5) full-day HDR conference in jointly hosted with SMAANZ.
- The conference will provide the opportunity for students to present work in a formal program, gain feedback, and network with other HDR students.

- Meeting the Standard: Calibration of Academic Standards (CAS3) workshop — General Purpose North 3 (39A-209) (Map ref I5) presented by Dr Paul Whitelaw (Associate Director, Higher Education, William Angliss Institute) the workshop will aim to:
- Reach a shared understanding of what it means to meet the minimum standard in the domains of Collaboration and Service & Experience Design at AQF 7.
- Generate a shared understanding about assessments and outcome standards in comparable units being taught in different institutions.
- CAUTHE-SMAANZ Mid-year HDR Conference — General Purpose North 3 (39A-208) (Map ref I5) full-day HDR conference in jointly hosted with SMAANZ.
- 5:30pm til late Social catch up — Pig and Whistle, Riverside,123 Eagle Street, Brisbane with SMAANZ for drinks and food as you wish.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
Parking and access
There is paid parking available at UQ campus, which is limited during teaching periods. While it is still O-week, it may still be difficult to park after 9:00am. The University encourages access by public transport via bus or CityCat river ferry terminal. All facilities are fully wheelchair accessible.
