2018 Impact factor – JHTM is growing fast – thank you for your support

We are delighted to share the results of the 2018 Thomson Reuters’ Impact Factor outcome for CAUTHE’s Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management (JHTM).

JHTM received its first impact factor this year with an amazing fantastic score of 2.496!

This score ranks JHTM close to many leading journals, i.e. 17th out of 52 titles in Tourism, and 91st out of 217 titles in Management.

JHTM has been growing from strength to strength and we are very confident that with your continuous support, JHTM will grow even stronger during in coming years. Thank you for your support reviewing, submitting papers and advice about the journal.

Special issues and celebration ‘parties’ will be arranged to celebrate the JHTM great success so far. We hope to see many of you at upcoming JHTM events listed below.

Upcoming JHTM events

Annual JHTM Research symposium

The Annual 2019 JHTM Research symposium has been re-scheduled for 9 August 2019 at UniSA, Adelaide. A strong program includes keynote speakers, workshop on Lego as serious game, and industry-professional speakers analysing practical examples of transformational tourism experience design. The submission deadline is 15 July 2019.

Research hackathon

Following the success of the inaugural 2018 hackathon, JHTM will host a second Research Hackathon at the 5th World Research Summit for Hospitality and Tourism at UCF, Florida on 13-16 December 2019.


JHTM and Elsevier will be present at the CAUTHE 2020 conference in Auckland, NZ from 10-13 February 2020.
