Conference 2025

CAUTHE 2025 – 35th CAUTHE conference

Theme: Transforming Tomorrow: Leveraging Opportunities to Create Change in Tourism, Hospitality and Events
Date: 10-13 February 2025

The 35th Annual Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE) Conference, was held in Meanjin (Brisbane) from 10-13 February 2025. The CAUTHE 2025 Conference was hosted by The University of Queensland, one of Australia’s leading universities; steeped in heritage while looking to create generational change. The green and gold runway of the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games provided an exciting transformational opportunity for a host city and nation. The conference theme reflected the opportunities such events have as catalysts for generational transformation: for the host city, and for the tourism, hospitality, and events sectors across Australasia.

CAUTHE 2025 brought together prominent industry leaders, researchers, and professionals to discuss the notion of generational transformation. Through presentations, panels, and interactive discussions, key insights were provided on how the sector can actively leverage opportunities to create a more diverse, inclusive, and sustainable future.
