This symposium will be the first in a series that seeks to generate networking, research and professional growth opportunities for CAUTHE, SMAANZ and ANZALS members. The symposia series is intended to provide opportunities for shared dialogue, cross-pollination of ideas and the formation of a robust and vibrant intellectual landscape in the fields of sport, leisure, tourism and hospitality studies. It is intended that each symposium will have a different theme drawing upon the common interests of ANZALS, CAUTHE and SMAANZ members and that it will be broadly reflective of the host institution’s interests and expertise.

The inaugural symposium in this series is hosted by UTS. Other symposia may deal with themes and issues of joint interest including operations, planning, governance, policy and teaching and learning. If you are interested in hosting a future SMAANZ-CAUTHE-ANZALS joint symposium event.
